CoffeeChat OS ("we", "us") provides a job-search workspace for tracking networking, practising interviews, and receiving job alerts. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or LinkedIn, we receive your name, email, and a provider account identifier from them. If you register with a password, we store only a securely hashed version, never the password itself.

Content you create

We store the information you add to your workspace: contacts, coffee chats, notes, target firms, interview practice sessions, and similar records. This content is yours and is scoped to your account.

Payment information

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. We store a customer and subscription identifier so we can manage your plan.

Usage and analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics and our own event logging to understand how the site is used. Analytics only load after you accept optional cookies. We may record basic technical data such as pages viewed, referrer, and an anonymous session identifier.

Messaging channels

If you connect Telegram to receive job alerts, we store your Telegram chat identifier so we can send you messages. You can disconnect it at any time.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the workspace and its features.
• To send transactional emails such as verification, reminders, and job alerts.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
• To improve the product using aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns.

AI-powered features

Interview practice and feedback use a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini). When you use these features, the relevant inputs are sent to that provider to generate a response. We do not use your content to train our own models.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the product, under their own terms:

• Stripe for payments.
• Brevo for sending email.
• Google and LinkedIn for optional sign-in.
• Google Analytics for analytics (only with your consent).
• Telegram if you connect it for alerts.
• Google (Gemini) for the AI interview features.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Cookies

We use essential cookies needed to run the site (for example, to keep you signed in) and, only with your consent, optional analytics cookies. You choose your preference through the cookie banner and can change it at any time.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from your profile settings, which removes your associated data from active systems. Some records may persist for a limited time in backups or where retention is required by law.

Security

We protect your data with measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access scoping so your records are visible only to you, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can manage most of this from your account, or contact us at info@coffeechatos.com and we will help.

Children

The service is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

International users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. By using the service you consent to this transfer.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date above. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
